About Beyond The Valley
Beyond The Valley is a New Year's camping festival in Victoria, presented by Untitled Group with triple j. It was first held on Phillip Island in 2014, moved to Lardner Park in 2015, and has been at Barunah Plains, near Hesse in western Victoria, since 2022. The site is about 126 km west of Melbourne, just under two hours by car.
The 2026/27 festival runs from 28 December 2026 to 1 January 2027 and has already sold out, with a resale waitlist run through Tixel. Main stages include the Valley Stage, the Dance Dome and Dr Dan's. John Summit, Black Eyed Peas and Vince Staples are on the Valley Stage on New Year's Eve, with Skepta, Ocean Alley, Overmono, Armand Van Helden, Nia Archives, The Veronicas and The Jungle Giants among the other names. Dance acts such as KI/KI, Job Jobse, Ewan McVicar, Boys Noize, Hannah Laing and Jayda G fill out the electronic side, and more artists are still to be announced. The program also includes podcasts, talks and comedy shows.
A four-day festival entry ticket was $519 plus booking fee, with three-day, two-day, New Year's Eve and single-day tickets also offered. Festival entry covers the arena only, so campers also need a camping ticket: General Camp was $164 and Premium Camp $379, with pre-pitched tents and Lux glamping packages above that. Car passes are deliberately limited, and the festival runs BTV buses with Melbourne on the Move.
The festival is strictly 18+ and everyone must show valid ID. Each campground has toilets, showers and a Helper Hub staffed 24 hours a day, and medical tents are staffed around the clock. Water stations are spread across the site, and Crowd Care staff roam the grounds. Vehicle pass holders can get one free saliva drug test before driving home.
For access needs, Companion Card holders can get a complimentary companion ticket, Auslan interpreters work the Valley Stage throughout the festival, and access consultancy Tibi Access supports patrons in an Accessible Campground. An accessibility guide is promised closer to the event, and questions go to Untitled Group's accessibility email.
The 2025/26 edition, the festival's tenth anniversary, ran from 28 December to 1 January with Dom Dolla, Turnstile, Kid Cudi and Addison Rae at the top of the bill.
