About NYE on the Hill
NYE on the Hill is a three-day, two-night music and camping festival held over New Year's on a working farm in the South Gippsland hinterland of Victoria. The site, known as The Farm, is about 10 minutes from Loch Village and 95 minutes south-east of Melbourne, on the way to Wilsons Promontory. The festival is run by The Hills Are Alive Group and is strictly limited to 3,000 people, a size the organisers say is big enough for strong bands but small enough to keep the feel of a party among friends.
The festival has sold out all ten of its previous editions in advance. After the 2024/25 festival, which ran from 30 December 2024 to 1 January 2025 with Mallrat, Hockey Dad and The Dreggs, organisers took a year off in 2025 to rest the site. It returns from Wednesday 30 December 2026 to Friday 1 January 2027.
Ball Park Music lead the 2026 lineup, with The Rions, Old Mervs, Pacific Avenue, Brent Honey, Torren Foot, Boy Soda, Darcie Haven, Mid Drift, Milo Eastwood, REDD., Sleepazoid, The Tullamarines and others. Beyond the stages there are smaller spaces such as a sing-along tent and a performance theatre.
General admission includes camping and is sold in releases on Moshtix, from $289 in the pre-sale up to $324 in the final release, plus booking fees. Car passes are sold separately, with profits going to the festival's tree planting project, and buses run from Southern Cross Station on 30 December. Pre-pitched bell tent glamping and tent village packages are available through Wallaroo Camping Hire.
The event is 18+, but parents can bring children through a family registration process, with youth and child tickets and free entry for babies. Campers can bring their own alcohol, and there are themed licensed bars. The site has free water refill stations, cold showers in the campsite and hot showers at the old dairy nearby. The closest ATM is about 20 km away. Because the site is a working farm, the organisers ask everyone to leave no trace and take all tents, chairs and gazebos home.

The organisers note the site is a working farm with undulating and in places steep ground. Carers can request a complimentary carer ticket.
