About EDC Mexico (Electric Daisy Carnival México)

EDC Mexico is the Mexico City edition of Electric Daisy Carnival, the electronic dance music festival run by the US promoter Insomniac Events. EDC's main event is in Las Vegas, and the brand also holds editions in other US cities, Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom. The Mexican festival is held each February at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, the motor racing circuit in the Iztacalco borough of eastern Mexico City, and its press materials are distributed through the Mexican promoter OCESA. Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella has called EDC Mexico the company's second-largest festival.

Programming covers the many branches of electronic music, including EDM, house, techno, trance, drum and bass, dubstep and trap, spread across several themed stages, with art installations and performers in the style of the Las Vegas event. The festival's slogan, Under the Electric Sky, is shared with the rest of the EDC brand.

The 2026 edition, held from 20 to 22 February, was the largest so far. Mexican press reported more than 100,000 people on the first night and 115,000 on the second, and a total of about 345,000 across the weekend. Hardwell returned to Mexico for the first time in more than eight years, and the bill included back-to-back sets by Adrián Mills with Cloudy, Ahmed Spins with LP Giobbi, Beltran with Maetrik, Mau P with The Martinez Brothers, and Michael Mayer with Rebolledo, alongside many Mexican artists. Alesso and Alok closed the second day.

The 13th edition takes place from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 February 2027 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. For the first time, tickets are sold through both Front Gate Tickets and Ticketmaster, so buyers can pay in either currency. Three-day passes went on sale in late March 2026, almost a year ahead and before any line-up announcement. In the first Future Owl price phase, the general admission pass cost MXN 3,480, the GA+ Comfort Pass MXN 4,180 and the VIP Banamex Plus pass MXN 6,960, plus service charges. The Comfort Pass adds express entry and air-conditioned premium toilets. Banamex Plus adds express entry, exclusive amenities, gourmet food options, VIP viewing platforms, phone battery loans, wifi, a cloakroom, a beauty bar and a barber shop. Prices rise as sales phases advance.

The festival runs a sustainability programme with waste separation and recycling, and a composting scheme for organic waste. There is no camping. The 2027 line-up had not been announced by October 2026.
