About Froth & Fury Festival
Froth & Fury Fest is an independent heavy music festival from South Australia that describes itself as fan made and fan owned. It began in 2021 as a local event combining craft beer with a day of metal, punk and hardcore, and it was held each November in its early years. For 2026 it moved to January and to the Adelaide Showground at Wayville, the former Adelaide home of the Big Day Out, and added a Perth date.
The 2027 festival is a single day at the Adelaide Showground on Saturday 30 January, from 10:30am to 11:30pm. Organisers Disruptive Productions bill it as the biggest edition so far. Knocked Loose head the lineup, followed by Clutch, Alpha Wolf, Paleface Swiss, Carpenter Brut, Igorrr and Deicide. Propagandhi, Terror, Counterparts, Corrosion of Conformity, Death to All, Death Angel performing Act III, 28 Days and Dark Angel are also confirmed, along with Cancer Bats, The Berzerker, Truth Corroded, Fox Lake and Heriot. South Australian bands can compete for opening slots through the Path to Fury battle of the bands, and the New Breed program auditions young musicians aged 10 to 18.
Beyond the stages there is live entertainment, a tattoo parlour, a market area, food trucks and bars. Tickets are sold through Moshtix, with first release general admission at $235.50. The festival is licensed but all ages: anyone aged 15 or under must be with a responsible adult, and children under 10 get in free. It is a cashless event, there are no pass-outs, and outside food and drink are not allowed, although parents can bring baby food and prams. Bags must be A3 or smaller, and crowd surfing, stage diving and circle pits are banned.
For accessibility, the festival offers viewing platforms at each stage for wheelchair users and one carer, accessible toilets at every toilet block, seating near the stages and accessible parking close to the main gate. Companion Card holders' companions are admitted free with a paid ticket, and an online form handles access needs and pass-out exemptions. First aid is near the main gate and doubles as the meeting point for lost children.
The 2026 edition, led by Polaris, played Perth on 24 January and Adelaide on 31 January.
