About Creamfields
Creamfields is an electronic dance music festival founded by the Liverpool club promoter Cream. Its UK edition takes place over the August bank holiday weekend on the Daresbury estate in Cheshire. Cream began as a weekly house night at Nation in Wolstenholme Square, Liverpool, which ran from October 1992 to June 2002. The first Creamfields was a one-day event in Winchester in 1998 with 25,000 people. It moved to the old Liverpool Airfield in 1999 and to Daresbury in 2006.
The festival grew from two days in 2008 to three in 2012, the year Live Nation bought Cream and the final day was abandoned because of heavy rain. Organisers then invested £500,000 to protect the site against bad weather. It is now a four-day camping festival hosting 70,000 people a day. A second UK event, Creamfields South, ran at Hylands Park in Chelmsford in 2022 and 2023, but from 2024 the festival returned to a single northern site. International editions have included Argentina, Chile and Malta.
The 2026 festival ran from 27 to 30 August. Headliners included Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Disclosure, Carl Cox, Tiësto, Martin Garrix, Underworld, Faithless, Sonny Fodera, and Amelie Lens presenting AURA.
Creamfields 2027 runs from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 August, and tickets are on sale before any acts have been named. Single-payment prices on the official ticket page start at £75 for a standard Friday day ticket. Two-day non-camping tickets cost £180 to £290, a three-day non-camping ticket is £275 to £400, and standard four-day camping is £300. Bronze, Silver and Gold camping tiers rise to £440 for Gold four-day camping. A booking fee is added to each ticket, and ten-instalment plans are available with a £20 deposit. Bronze camping includes hot showers, flushing toilets and a 24-hour info hub. Gold adds a pamper tent, a car park pass and the Gold Hospitality Arena.
The festival is strictly 18+, and you must be 18 on the day you enter. Extras include Dreamfields pre-pitched tents, luxury camping, Freshfields premium toilets and showers, and Charge Candy phone charging. There is an accessible campsite next to the campsite hub, and a site map in the official app shows water points, toilets and bars.
