About Earth Frequency Festival

Earth Frequency Festival is a four-day music, arts, lifestyle and environment festival held in South-East Queensland. It began in 2005 as a small landcare party and describes itself as Queensland's longest-running electronic music festival. It is independently owned and has run without corporate sponsorship, alcohol sales or major government funding.

The 2026 festival runs from Friday 23 October at 9am to Monday 26 October 2026 at Woodfordia, 87 Woodrow Road, Woodford, in the Moreton Bay region inland from the Sunshine Coast. Woodfordia is a flat, forested site with permanent amenities, walking trails and Lake Gkula, which is used for swimming. Earth Frequency moved there for its 20th anniversary edition in October 2025.

The music program has roots in doof, rave and transformational festival culture and now spans techno, bass, psytrance, progressive and house through to drum and bass, reggae, hip-hop, funk, folk and downbeat. The first 2026 announcement included Dela Moon, Desert Dwellers, Dreamvibes, Drunken Kong, Electrypnose, Father Funk, John 00 Fleming, K+Lab, Kursa, Marc Romboy, Marvel Years and Mood Swing & Chevy Bass, and US beatbox and bass artist Honeycomb was later added as a headliner. Alongside the stages there are performance, visual art and installations, workshops and wellness sessions, markets and a dedicated family and kids space.

General camping is included in the festival ticket, with early-entry passes, family camping, Deluxe Camping plots and Woodfordia glamping tents offered as upgrades. The festival typically draws around 5,000 people. Stages run until midnight from Friday to Sunday and close at 6pm on Monday.

Earth Frequency is strictly BYO, and no alcohol is sold. Free drinking water refill stations, hot and cold showers in the campgrounds and ATMs at the front gate and market place are provided, and phones can be charged at the Info Tent for $5. There are no lockers. Medical and first aid services are staffed 24/7, and the ConsciousNest is a chill-out space for anyone feeling overwhelmed. A fire ban applies, so campfires, candles and fire twirling are not allowed.

The festival is all ages. Children up to 12 enter free, and teens aged 13 to 17 buy a $200 youth ticket at the gate. The EFF Express shuttle, run with Kangaroo Bus Lines, connects the site with Brisbane Airport, Byron Bay via the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast.
